Technology Operation
The IQ Energy - Modular Advanced Thermal Units can process different waste types and there are different variants of gasifier, pyrolysers and driers that we can supply. One of the focuses at the moment for IQ Energy Australia is a Chemical Recycling unit that is currently being proven to convert dirty and mixed plastics back into a plastic derived crude oil or gas that can be refined back into plastic through the supply chain. This will be powered and heated by its own renewable energy and it will be modular, scalable and containerised. However depending on the project we can adapt to the waste feedstocks and produce a variety of different products.

Outputs
Recoverable and unrecoverable products, Average ratio, the average quantity of power output (kW/kg) and Environmental emissions.
Outputs | Details |
---|---|
What are recoverable products (What does the technology make or do)? | Depends on waste type - plastic derived oil or gas, water, mineral ash, biochar, heat and power |
What are unrecoverable waste products (waste material after processing)? | Depends on waste type, but majority will have beneficial reuse |
Average ratio – input v recoverable (%) | Depends on waste type - 90% |
If producing power, average quantity of power output (kW/kg) | Depends on waste type and is this the highest use outcome |
Environmental emissions (emissions to air or discharges to water or soil) | Minimal - CO2 to atmosphere but working on capture process |
